National Talent Competition will host FREE Preliminaries in Riverside
Star Quest USA (a National talent competition for singers, dancers, models, and variety acts) is hosting a FREE preliminary Competition at the Coffee Depot in Riverside on Sunday, March 20. This event is open to the public.

/Nevada News Articles/ - March 10, 2005 - With the increased excitement in Performing arts from reality shows like Idol, Most Talented Kid, Star Search, Next Top Model, and the Entertainer; many talented people are looking for their place to showcase their talents. Star Quest USA, who offers an annual prize pay out of $100,000 will be holding a free preliminary competition at the Coffee Depot on Mission Inn Ave. in Riverside on Sunday, March 20 at 11 a.m.

Star Quest USA is in it's fourteenth year of professional show production and has given thousands of people the opportunity to perform in front of thousands of people. In 2004, they hosted many Riverside area events including some at the Historic Mission Inn. Age divisions include child, junior, young, adult, and senior.

In 2004, many contestants found themselves with television appearances as a result of their participation in Star Quest USA. Riverside's AJ Holyfield (a junior vocalist) was seen on his television debut of "America's Most Talented Kids." He was one of five kids in Star Quest USA that ended up on the program.

Riverside's Christie Ann Bengtson, a ten year old dancer, will be competing again this year for the title of National Grand Champion. Bengtson placed second in that National Championship in 2004. With eight years of dancing expertise in ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop; Christie is an amazing talent to watch.

On March 20, interested contestants will bring music and compete for free in hopes of getting one of the top three spots in their age and category. The top three will move on to a Regional Finals at the end of April in Ontario. National finalists will compete in Laughlin, Nevada at the end of July.
