MEET THE CANDIDATES FORUM SCHEDULED FOR NEVADA RACE
Nevadans will have one more chance to hear candidates on the issues before the Nov 8th vote

/Nevada News Articles/ - LAS VEGAS, NV, October 09, 2006 - As the Las Vegas Valley grows, so goes Nevada. With local population pushing two million, our November votes will have huge impact on the State's future.

Knowing that, will you trust your vote to info gathered from TV ads, short newspaper stories or shallow media sound bites? It is especially important for newcomers — those who have yet to learn the cast of characters in Nevada's personality-driven political climate — to get a firsthand look at and feel for the people behind names they'll see on the ballot, this fall.

That opportunity comes Tuesday, October 24, 7-9PM at Temple Beth Sholom in Summerlin. A "Meet the Candidates Forum" that evening, just before the election, brings together a full slate of candidates for Governor, Lt. Governor, Senate, Congress and Sheriff.

You'll hear what they have to say, moderated by highly-regarded Judge Michael Cherry. And, you will have the opportunity to ask the questions you feel matter most of those hoping to administrate our State, police our County and represent us in Washington.

This important Temple Beth Sholom Forum is open to the public; all are invited, at no cost. Candidates for other offices, local and statewide, are also encouraged to attend, be introduced and meet their constituency face-to-face.

October 24th is an important evening at Temple Beth Sholom in Summerlin; it could change your views... perhaps even change your vote. For more, contact Mimi Katz, (702)233-3785.
