LAS VEGAS ART MUSEUM FEATURES THE PRATO HAGGADAH EXHIBIT
Las Vegas Art Museum & Las Vegas-Clark County Library District Present: An Illuminated Medieval Manuscript in the Making; March 6- April 23, 2007; Lecture by David Kraemer: March 15, 5:30 P.M. Public Reception: March 15th, 6:30-7:30 P.M.

/Nevada News Articles/ - LAS VEGAS, NV, February 01, 2007 - The Las Vegas Art Museum and the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District have joined together to present the special exhibition The Prato Haggadah: An Illuminated Manuscript in the Making. The exhibition features facsimiles of the Prato Haggadah, a manuscript produced in Spain circa 1300. The exhibition also features materials related to medieval manuscript production, including pigments and painting and writing tools. The exhibition is organized by The Library of The Jewish Theological Seminary of New York City. It will be on view in the lobby of the Sahara West Library building at 9600 West Sahara Avenue.

On March 15, 2007, a public reception will be held for the exhibition in the West Sahara Library lobby. The reception will be preceded by a lecture given by Dr. David Kraemer, Director of the Library of the Jewish Theological Seminary. Dr. Kraemer, will discuss the history and significance of the Prato Haggadah. The exhibition, reception, and lecture are free and open to the public. Reservations for the lecture are recommended.

The exhibition is available for viewing Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.;
